Website Features All New-Home Projects On Oahu

Maybe it’s the fact that newly built homes are more energy efficient or easier to maintain. Or that there are no smells left behind from the previous owner’s dog, no hideous wallpaper to remove, no stained grout in the kitchen and no plumbing problems.

No matter what the reason, there is nothing quite like a brand new home straight from the builder, equipped with windows that keep the heat out, roof panels that convert sunshine into hot water, and appliances that save money on electricity.

So it’s easy to see what’s appealing about new construction, but if you’ve ever wanted to find one source that lists new projects around the island, it’s not so easy to do.

Until now.

Prudential Locations has just launched a new online search feature with the only complete database of all new home construction projects on the island.

Robin Markle, vice president of new home sales at Prudential Locations, says that the newest feature on PrudentialLocations.com allows you to search across all new home projects currently available on Oahu. It includes details for each of the projects, floor plans of the various models, pictures or renderings, as well as amenities for the units, houses and the building or property.

“In the past, if you wanted to buy new construction, you had to search for individual builder ads in the newspaper, talk with agents and ultimately drive to each location, to see what was available,” says Markle. “It was very time consuming.”

Today, new home shoppers can browse each builder’s offerings online, including all the floor plans – currently there are 96 floor plans to look at – in a certain neighborhood, a specific price range or for a home with a desired number of bedrooms and baths.

The new Prudential Locations’ database includes projects that are recently completed, under construction or in the planning stages. So for the first time ever, the complete listing is finally available, all in one place – no matter which homebuilder or what price range.

“We wanted to make it easier for our clients looking for new construction properties,” Markle says. “So we requested information from developers, gathered data directly from the specific project websites, compiled a list of homes and condos and built a searchable database. Now it’s easy to narrow down

your search.”

Markle says the web-sites of most real estate companies typically feature only their own new home properties for sale.

“We are offering one place where buyers can search all new projects available, making it easier to compare,” she says. “New construction amenities are huge and developers are competing to offer the latest and the greatest to attract buyers. Fitness centers, spas and gathering areas, for example.”

Offering one place where buyers can search all new projects available totally based on specific criteria is something consumers wanted.

“And they can retrieve details about each project including floor plans and pictures,” says Markle. “There is a map feature, where you can click on a button to see exactly where the property is located. And to top it off, each listing details neighborhood amenities, what features are included in each home, and what upgrades are available. It’s going to save a lot of time.”
