All Your Building, Remodeling Needs Under One Roof
The Building Industry Association of Hawaii (BIA-Hawaii) will present the 25th annual Home Building & Remodeling Show at Neal Blaisdell Exhibition Hall Friday, Jan. 26 through Sunday, Jan. 28. The premier home building show of the year features over 250 exhibits from Hawaii’s top builders, designers, suppliers and associates.
Free educational seminars covering the latest trends in building and design will be offered during show hours Saturday and Sunday. The National Kitchen & Bath Association’s (NKBA) Aloha Chapter and BIA-Hawaii will present “Kitchen & Bath Design Trends” featuring award-winning Hawaii designers.
Additional seminars include “Top 10 Remodeling Mistakes,” “How to maximize your savings under the new HECO Programs with KUMUKit Solar,” and a special joint presentation by BIA-Hawaii and the local AARP Chapter, “Aging in place, be H ome F it. ”
At the show, attendees will find information available about Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). A special presentation by the Honolulu Age-Friendly Committee and
BIA-Hawaii members , a group dedicated to making Honolulu one of the nation’s preeminent age-friendly cities, will be given on Sunday. Guests can examine plans and photos of ADUs that have been designed and built locally.
The work of award-winning designers will be showcased in the Renaissance Award Gallery in spaces 857-863 throughout the show. Show attendees are invited to meet celebrity designer Mikel Welch in the Inspired Closets Exhibit Area (618-624) and enter to win an Inspired Closets closet makeover.

Dean Uchida, 2018 BIA-Hawaii president and deputy manager of SSFM International Inc., said, “For the past 24 years, BIA has provided this ‘one-stop shopping’ event where consumers can check out the latest in kitchen, bath, appliances, flooring, roofing, windows and solar technology. We also make available Hawaii’s best remodelers, contractors, suppliers and other industry experts to answer all your home building and home improvement questions.”
The hours for BIA-Hawaii’s Home Building & Remodeling Show are: 5 to 9 p.m. Jan. 26; 9:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Jan. 17; and 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Jan. 28.
Cost is $7 general admission for adults; children 10 and under are admitted free when accompanied by an adult with paid admission. A three-day pass is $10. On Senior Sunday, Jan. 28 , admission for seniors 60 and older with ID is $2. Discount coupons can be accessed on the BIA-Hawaii Facebook page. Self-parking at Blaisdell is available for $7.
