Recognizing her exceptional hard work and talent, Lauren’s broker quickly promoted her as the assistant to a team of senior loan officers, where she exceeded expectations and set record numbers. Within weeks, Lauren’s boss encouraged her to earn her NMLS license and she quickly became a loan officer. She embraced the exciting challenge of helping dozens of families achieve their goals of homeownership or refinancing and closed millions in loans. Lauren still jokes that she didn’t find lending; lending found her. She didn’t envision becoming a loan officer at the age of 23. She was just having fun doing what she loved.

Born and raised in San Diego, Lauren’s tightly knit Latino-Mexican family instilled core values of faith, family, and strong work ethics.

Lauren has always had ties to the Hawaiian Islands, taking family vacations that made her wish she could one day call Hawaii her home. It was no surprise that she jumped at the opportunity to move to Hawaii. Initially, Lauren had mixed feelings about leaving her family and her Latin roots. But it didn’t take long for the local culture of ‘ohana to help her feel right at home. She realized that the aloha spirit was something so special it had to be felt to be appreciated. Lauren continued evolving her business as well as her understanding of the Hawaiian culture and language.
