Coral Ridge Offers New Technology, Energy Efficiency

Following a blessing and on-site celebration, sales have begun in

Gentry Homes’ newest community, Coral Ridge. Model homes are open for viewing on Saturdays and Sundays only. Located adjacent to Coral Creek Golf Course, the new neighborhood will consist of single-family homes with three and four bedrooms and up to three baths with prices starting in the high-$600,000s. Four furnished model homes, with 1,576 to 1,946 square feet of interior living space, are available for viewing.

Three of the designs include a downstairs bedroom suite with full bath to accommodate extended family “ohana” living or a home office. With open floor plans, 9-foot ceiling heights on the first and second levels, large master suites and family rooms, and abundant windows for natural lighting, the interiors have a spacious, airy ambiance.

All homes include an indoor laundry area, a kitchen with stain-grade cabinetry, Corian counter-tops, stainless steel sink, a GE appliance package with ceramic cook-top, range/oven, dishwasher and microwave, two-car driveway and enclosed garage, rear covered lanai, covered entry, privacy fencing and front-yard landscaping.

Hobson noted that “new technology” is emphasized at Coral Ridge and carried out with such features as Icynene open-cell foam insulation that seals the home from outside noise and dust pollens and reduces air conditioning loss, a 120-gallon HECO-approved solar water heater with an automatic timer, direct fiber optic cable, photovoltaic energy system, LED lighting package, energy-efficient central air conditioning with a filtration and light-purification system, the energy-saving NEST learning thermostat, and dual pane low-E high performance vinyl windows with UV protection.

Homes also are pre-wired with CAT-5 computer-grade cable for Internet connectivity throughout and equipped with the new Home Electronics Protective Device (HEPD80) that provides surge protection for sensitive electronics in the entire home, reducing electrical surges that can damage equipment such as washers, dryers, refrigerators, stoves and air conditioning systems.
