Financial Education at Your Fingertips

Checking accounts, preparing for homeownership, retirement planning … life’s challenges can be tackled more confidently when you have the right tools.

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union is excited to welcome all – members and non-members alike – to its financial education tool. And it’s FREE!

It’s available through a link on the website, alohapacific. com. On the homepage, scroll down to What’s New, then click playlist under the Hawaii yoga image, which will take you to the Financial Education Center website.

The site includes a variety of topics, called Playlists, for consumers of all ages, in every stage of life. They include:

• Adulting 101

• Financial Foundations

• Owning a Home

• Investing in Your Future

• Building Financial Capability

• Preparing for Retirement

• Small Business Essentials

• Growing Your Small Business

• Building Financial Resilience

• Financial Caregiving

Each Playlist has short, easy to understand sections, each a few minutes long. Some are interactive, such as filling out your estimated monthly income to show you an example of the 50-30-20 rule (a formula that suggests you spend 50 percent of your income on needs, 30 percent on wants and 20 percent on savings or debts). Other sections include short videos or quick quizzes.

All are aimed at helping you along the path to financial security, whether you’re just now taking control of your money, have your own business or are looking forward to retirement.

Explore the site and tell your friends and family! Remember, you don’t have to be an Aloha Pacific FCU member to take advantage of this special financial education tool.

Aloha Pacific FCU’s new financial education tool is offered free to APFCU members and non-members. Just go to alohapacific.com, scroll down to this image at left, and click on playlist.

About Aloha Pacific FCU

Aloha Pacific Federal Credit Union has been assisting in the financial goals of generations of Hawaii residents.

A full-service, not-for-profit financial institution, Aloha Pacific’s priority is its members, focusing on providing the right products and services for every stage of a member’s life. APFCU offers auto loans, Visa Platinum credit cards, mortgages, a Home Equity Line of Credit, and all the savings and checking products consumers want and need. APFCU divisions specialize in realty services and financial planning and investment guidance for members looking toward retirement.

Online banking, a free mobile app and a banking-by-phone service provide access to accounts whenever members need it.

It’s the only Hawaii financial institution with a branch in Las Vegas, in the Henderson community. There are eight branches on Oahu, most also open on Saturdays for members’ convenience.

There’s an Aloha Pacific branch in Kekaha, Kauai; and one on Maui, at Kahului’s Pu‘unene Shopping Center, too.

As a participant in the Co-op Shared Branching Network, APFCU gives its members access to more than 30,000 surchargefree ATMs and 5,600 shared branches across the nation.

Not a member? You can be. Go to alohapacific.com to apply for membership and explore the possibilities.
