Foundation’s Philanthropic Efforts Help Hawaii’s Homeless Keiki

The 1 ‘Ohana Foundation recently made a $15,600 donation to Project Hawai‘i Inc., which is dedicated to helping and enhancing the lives of Hawai‘i’s homeless and poverty- stricken keiki.

Magin Patrick, co-founder and director of Project Hawai‘i with Cliff Kama, Sr., says, “We are so grateful for the partnership and support from 1 ‘Ohana Foundation. This donation will provide homeless teens with residential support to attend college so they may ultimately be employed to fulfill their dreams.”

Project Hawai‘i is an award-winning nonprofit organization established in 2003. Run entirely with a volunteer staff, Project Hawai‘i strives to change the lives of homeless children by providing stability through interactive programs, educational training, healthy meals, personal hygiene care and emergency services on O‘ahu, Maui and the Big Island.

Principal broker of Corcoran Pacific Properties and board member of 1 ‘Ohana, Chuck Garrett, adds, “Our agents and staff from each island recognize the urgent need to care for our homeless keiki and break the cycle of poverty. As a company, we are very proud of our employees and staff who contributed so generously, and we look forward to the positive impact that will shape the lives of children through the critical services they deserve.”

The 1 ‘Ohana Charitable Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is supported by donations from the agents and employees of Corcoran Pacific Properties, Elite Pacific Vacations, Hawai‘i Commercial Real Estate and Mana Mortgage.
