Esther Park Kusunoki made the transition to real estate after developing a service-oriented mindset and problem-solving skills while managing international reservations for Korean Airlines in its main office in Seoul. Now, she enjoys working with buyers and sellers to make their dreams of buying and selling properties a reality.

After initially making her way to Hawai‘i in 2004 as an immigrant from Seoul, South Korea, in 2004, Esther Park Kusunoki was encouraged by a friend from church to look into a career in real estate.

She had developed a passion for, and the skillset needed to work effectively with people of various backgrounds and expectations as a manager of international reservations for Korean Airlines. She handled complaints from passengers from multiple countries and helped them address an array of needs.

“It ended up helping me become a problem solver-with a service-oriented mindset, and that experience helps me in my current career in working with people,” Esther Park Kusunoki says.

She started her real estate career in 2006 with Coldwell Banker before moving to local boutique company Kahala Associates as a partner in 2012 and settling in with LIST Sotheby’s International Realty in 2014 after the companies merged. Esther Park Kusunoki has been recognized annually as a LIST Sotheby’s International Realty Highest Overall Sales Top Producer, and the innovative leader in the industry paces the company as a global real estate advisor and senior vice president.

“I specialize in high-end properties and multi-family apartment buildings,” Esther Park Kusunoki says. “I believe luxury is a lifestyle and experience. Multi-family apartment buildings are income-driven investments, and I am well connected with my passion and understanding from the lens of a realtor and investor. I represent many buyers and sellers for the Ward Village projects and have been named a ‘Top Broker’ by the Howard Hughes Corporation since 2014.”

Esther Park Kusunoki enjoys working out and hopes to spend down time with her husband, traveling and attending concerts and musicals.

“Because he’s a foodie, we enjoy discovering the fine-dining experiences,” she says.
